One of our clients ask us to develop his Tour and travel WordPress website using traveler WordPress theme. As per the client request we have to code and design as per his requirement.

We worked on Traveler WordPress theme for 2 weeks to achieve what actually client is looking for. So below is our review for Traveler WordPress theme in terms of Speed, code Quality, Design features, optimization and functionality.

Traveler WordPress theme offers ton of functionality but at the same time few functionality is not working as expected. below are some functionality makes Traveler WordPress theme unique.

  • Customer can build services like Tour, Cab, Hotel, Activity and Rental. These services can be enabled or disabled from theme options.
  • Theme is available in WPBakery Page Builder or Elementor Page builder.
  • Footer is completely customized as page, header can be customized as 8 types of design and Mega menu can also be added.
  • Customized Email templates (HTML, just like POST edit) can be created and can be connected to required functionality from theme options
  • Vendors can be added from frontend. Separate page for Vendor/user Dashboard.
  • Affiliate can be added like booking.com, Expedia, Travel Payout and Hotels combined.
  • Separate form builder for Theme based Checkout page.
  • Theme works on WooCommerce checkout and Inbuilt default checkout. So any payment gateway can be used in WooCommerce based checkout.
  • Mapbox map as a alternate to Google Map for Tour Page.
  • Admin can manage refunds and Vendor/Partner statics from Admin dashboard.
  • There is an option for complete verification of the vendor by ID and Email. Vendor/Partner can apply for verification from his/her dashboard.

Things that can be improved:

There are some other features which are missing or should be improved/fixed:

  • We cannot define number of columns for Services like Tours, Cabs, Hotel etc for mobile or tablet device during page design.
  • Most of the Tour/Rental/Hotel Design/layout has out of date style.
  • There is no option for defining the Design layout for mobile devices.
  • There are many page builder elements which was used in old design of theme but they are still showing in page builder list. Its creating confusion during designing.
  • Search box can’t customized and not much styling can be added.
  • Register as Vendor/Partner or normal user make no sense because Vendor and User has same dashboard page so its creating confusion for normal user to offer option to register a package.
  • Customer can’t design pages like membership page, checkout page, Location page etc because they run after selecting respective predefine page templates.
  • Theme’s default checkout page has limited Payment gateways (Some are available in paid Addons) and sometimes page also crashes.
  • Default Demo imported Emails are not responsive. Customer may need a designer to to design proper responsive email templates.
  • Booking ID, Booking details and Emails don’t work when WooCommerce checkout is used. Which also create confusion on bookings on vendor/user Dashboard.
  • Theme Updates are very slow and sometimes crashes during update.
  • Typography is very limited. Single Typography for whole theme.
  • Blog archive and single pages are limited. No customization available.
  • There are many bugs which customer can encounter during development of website using Traveler WordPress theme.

Pricing :

As per our latest check Traveler WordPress theme is available at 79$. I think its bit costly as compared to same theme’s category.

Prices has been updated recently. There are also many Add-ons like payment gateways, Invoice addons (Some free) developed by Shine Themes to provide additional features to theme.
